It is actually an unpaid full time job more demanding than the remunerated one you are looking for. The pressure is almost too high at times. Therefore it is better to make the whole adventure as brief and effective as possible. For that intent, there are many equally salutary venues to explore. The success of each approach will depend on the attitude adopted. However, among the available methods to undertake, the job fair is the most interesting for the reason that the employers on the site are usually actively looking to fill immediate openings: they are merely in a more favorable predisposition to appreciate your curriculum vitae. Also the interaction possible here between parties involved is less probable to occur in other job search related circumstances. It is direct and personal and more likely to have satisfying outcomes. The job fair context is definitively the opportunity to land a job rapidly. Consequently, when you attend to one, be very prepared:
-Prior to the fair, find useful information on the employers present
-Dress to impress of course and be ready to be interviewed on the spot and to make the best of the occasion
-Have enough updated resumes and references lists to provide if required
-Be bold and don't hesitate to take of recruters' coordinates for further follow-ups
It is on this encouraging note that I will leave you today http://bit.ly/2imA65
And for the Vancouverites who are fluent in both English and French, and who agree that, to participate in a job fair is to take on a "fair job", this is a rendez-vous to not miss : http://bit.ly/UP4ho

Looking for a job or feeling blase with your current one? This might interest you:

In his book “The pleasures and the sorrows of work” released in April 2009, Alain de Botton explores the modern work place in a very innovative way. http://bit.ly/R4yHE
In an interview, he recently gave to the french version of jobboom.com, the swiss born author talks about the importance of a professional analysis prior to choose one's occupation and the role of the career counselor, which according to him, should be the most important job in an ideal world. http://bit.ly/axd6H

The passionnate recruiter in me feels quite hailed by this pespective. In fact, a good career counselor will greatly help an individual to discover his full potential, what should lead to well suited jobs. For “the right person with the right job” is a decisive condition for fulfilment at work.
In that regard, job satisfaction which is defined by Paul E. Spector http://bit.ly/2EdVHb as “ the extend to which people like(satisfaction) or dislike (dissatisfaction) their jobs”, plays an important role not only in the worker's life, but also in the organization's bottom line considering its impact on the job performance. So, for those who aren't enjoying their job anymore and who might need a little boost on that department, the following article is worth reading: http://bit.ly/2xszvt

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thestaffingal.blogspot.com/2009/10/looking-for-job-or-feeling-blase-with_01.html' title='Looking for a job or feeling blase with your current one?
